Whether the problem is physical (like a sports injury) or more internal (like a headache or infant reflux) we can offer help to get things back to normal. One of the things that sets us apart is that – even if we really like you – we don’t want you to keep coming back to see us. We are always working to get you back to good health as quickly as possible, and if that’s not happening we will bring in our colleagues for second opinions or refer on to the appropriate specialist.

Osteopaths look at health in a different way to other practitioners. We provide a comprehensive approach to healing the whole person, rather than only managing the symptoms. This often results in a faster recovery, as we can address other areas of the body that may be contributing to the initial problem. We work in half hour appointments where we ask questions about your medical history, maybe use some orthopaedic or neurological tests, check the way you walk, and work out what is troubling you and why.
Then we get onto the good stuff – using various different hands-on techniques to help get rid of your pain, always working with the level of manipulation you feel comfortable with. The number of treatments required is specific to each person, injury and condition but we can give you an estimate of this in the first consultation. We also give advice regarding work habits, exercise and possible need for x-rays or other health professional consultation or medical investigations to try an minimise any reoccurrence.
Back pain. We all get it from time to time, and we all wish we didn’t. It can vary from mild discomfort to significant pain and disability and can affect the way we feel, work and live.
